Business Group España

Automoviles Crespo are proud to be associated with The Business Group España. Formed in January, by a group of local business people. The BGE was created in response to the number of people who had been the victim of poor quality Service, Products and Workmanship. The BGE is a self-funding, non-profit making organisation, which is owned and run by the members. The four main board members are Tony Poole, Electrician. (President). Iain Miller, Just Cool Air-conditioning (Treasurer). John Peers, Iron Art (Company Secretary) and our own Paul Garner (Vice President).

The BGE sets and expects very high standards of, standards, professionalism, quality, honesty and reliability. All member are vetted to ensure that they are legally registered to work in Spain and have the correct levels public liability insurance etc. We also require documented evidence of qualifications in the business in which they are trading.

This expression I took to mean that there are a lot of people operating in business here with little or no regulation, with very poor standards and taking people for a ride. In short being ripped off. Also with us being in a foreign country and not knowing the systems. The language barrier makes it very difficult if the business that you are dealing with falls short of expectation. Where as in the UK, most people would know their local trading standards office. Here you would just write it of and put it down to experience. I can also recall my reply. Surely its up to the reputable traders to do something about it Not just accept that’s the way it is”
